EU data retention ruling goes against UK government

The UK government says it is "disappointed" after the European Court of Justice said the "indiscriminate" collection of data was against EU law.

The EU certainly was "disappointed" after the UK said the decision to leave the EU was "a good idea".

I see they want to leave because they want their own rules, so be it.

 

I'm more interested in what certain german politicians will do now.

They are absolutely in love with the concept of data retention, praise it regularly for being so effective in avoiding crime before it happens.. using pseudo science to show the positive effects sometimes. I'm interested in what they are going to do now that data retention is against EU law.
