kaymio 7 Posted ... Some three years ago I had a server with a native IPv6 connection. In those days I came to the conclusion that IPv4 is still the way to go with a VPN. Due to the fact that v6 is still on the rise (about 15% at the moment https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html) I was curious how the status of AirVPN nowaday is, with regard to IPv6. Are you any closer to a tunneld native/pure IPv6 experience? Quote Share this post Link to post

IPv6 is a huge privacy issue for now, one of the reasons is the direct allocation per subscriber, which means 100% logging from your ISP.So instead of having a CG-NAT which is only logged on demand in case of serious abuse (spam/hacking/ddos) you have a /64 allocationwhich identifies you uniquely. IPv6 was never designed for privacy, since privacy in todays internet is the side-effect of the IPv4 shortage. 1 kaymio reacted to this Quote Hide zhang888's signature Hide all signatures Occasional moderator, sometimes BOFH.
