NaDre 157 Posted ... One has to enable IPv6 in order to see a leaked IPv6 address on the newly updated ipleak.net. But then of course your true location is leaked. Since AirVPN does not provide tunnels for IPv6 traffic yet, one then has to go back to having IPv6 disabled. I suppose the point is that this will make you aware that you need to disable IPv6. I see that BBC is planning to provide full support IPv6 fully by the end of 2016. I use BBC a lot through AirVPN. EDIT: I appear to have gotten my wires crossed there. It seems to me that the time is upon us when having IPv6 disabled will be very problematic. EDIT: Well maybe just irritating. I am using AirVPN now only through VPS and VMs so that I do not have to disable IPv6 on my main machines. IPv6 is coming, like it or not. I want to be up to speed on it. I think the addition of IPv6 support to ipleak.net raises an obvious question. Is AirVPN about to start providing support for IPv6 over OpenVPN connections? Quote Share this post Link to post
zhang888 1066 Posted ... This will take many years more until any big website/service will use IPv6 only, since it will mean that they will have to cut offa huge amount of users with IPv4 only. The numbers vary from country to country, but currently it is about 10% on average. IPv4 will be around for quite some time.
