iPerineum 0 Posted ... After trying for hours I just can't get OpenVPN running on my AdvancedTomato Access Point (ASUS RT-N18U). Network SetupPrimary Router and DHCP Server: 192.168.2.1Access Point: 192.168.2.2 | DHCP Disabled, Latest Firmware (3.3-138-AIO), 1st DNS 10.4.0.1, 2nd DNS 192.168.2.1 I am using Port 2018 which I opened on my primary router for the AP.I then followed this guide https://airvpn.org/tomato/ to set everything up.In the Client Area I can see that the AP connects to the server, but the connection drops every few minutes. However as soon as I start the VPN Client on my AP I have no internet connection at all, until I stop the VPN Client. (Using the AP as my PCs gateway) See below my advanced settings and status page. go558a83nk 364 Posted ... I'm thinking it's because you can't run an openvpn client while the device is in access point mode. Usually routers have to be in gateway/router mode to run an openvpn client as they must be able to NAT. Quote Share this post Link to post
