Recommended Posts

Was wondering if its possible to do the following

Setup DD-WRT flashed router with AirVPN to connect to best available server in the UK.

however I only want 2 or maybe 3 of the devices on my network to use this connection and the rest to access the internet normally.

Yes possible Policy based Routing

You give the Devices which should use VPN a static ip add this ip in Policy based Routing Save, apply and reboot Router

If you use Standard ddwrt Settings

DHCP Start with .100

static ip Must be in this Range 192.168.1.2-192.126.1.99

I get the gist but I'm a little new to this would someone be willing to break it into step by step instruction.

I'm fine with the general networking and setting up the AirVPN client I need help to do the below.

Set Plex Server 192.168.1.X to access internet through AirVPN

Set AppleTV 192.168.1.X to access internet through AirVPN

Other hosts like laptop and phone should not be affected and assigned IPs from DCHP and connect through WAN interface. There should be no change to the settings.

However all other hosts on the 192.168.1.X network need to be able to communicate with the Plex Server and Apple TV e.g. laptop or iPhone which will be assigned IP from the DCHP server.

192.168.1.x

Save and apply done

Maybe you Need a reboot

I just setup my router and was wondering this as well except I needed specify a range.  Was able to use 192.168.11.96/27 and it worked like a champ.

Thanks!
