Android Connection Refused

Hi All,

 

I tried to use the VPN on my phone this afternoon, a Z5 Compact with 6.0.1 and received the error "write UDP [ECONNREFUSED]: Operation not permitted (code=1)".

 

No traffic is passing and it's been this way for a few hours. This is happening on all the servers I've tested with both Firefox and Chrome. It is normally trouble free and works as expected.

 

Are Air aware of any issues which might be causing this?

Generally it means that something is broken in your ROM, there are many reports about such errors in the official

OpenVPN for Android Github:

P.S.

You have very weird routes set, 196.0.0.0/6 which is half of Africa and 200.0.0.0/5 which is half of South America.

I am not running a custom ROM, but the stock UK firmware. I can however roll back to 6.0 (which may have been the last time I used the VPN) to see what happens.

 

Excuse my ignorance regards the routing, but I'm not 'setting' any routes. I just downloaded the Europe Config along with a few others from the Air generator and loaded them into the OpenVPN app.
