get win7 online again

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Eddie would not let me connect possibly having something to do with enabling stunnel but anyway it was not happening so I uninstalled. The thing is now I cant connect at all. I know my internet connection is good so Eddie changed my win 7 going in but did not reverse on an unistall. I am sure this is a run of the mill problem with a well known solution, but I donvt know what it is....lol...any suggestions short of os reinstall...thank you!

Sometimes, when disconnecting the eddie client, the DNS 10.4.x.x. is still registered in the Win network adapter.

Have you checked that on your computer??

Yes, I have two Win 7 devices and this occurs sometimes.

Hey it's me in a new name b/c my login wouldn't work for some reason. Well I confess I don't know how to check or change the thing you are referring to. What does Eddie do going in that it fails to reverse going out? I had to get a new VPN provider to even get online again because Eddie wasn't working and Win7 by itself wasn't working. I'd rather stay with AIR but I  have to be able to get online. Not sure what's up with the not being able to log in.. definitely the  info is right .. no errors in pw or name are shown it just acts liek I dind't log in.. but that's a completley different issue... LOL ... just want to get back to using Air somehow...

if it is being blocked from reversing the DNS settings you will become unable to resolve any domains meaning you can't really go online unless you visit an IP address and not a domain. You go to network connections then right click properties on your network adapter and go to the bottom at ipv4 and set your DNS to automatic.

Hi,

No  that did not work unfortunately.

Not sure how helpful it is but here's a few lines from the log:

I 2016.05.09 09:57:46 - Flushing DNS
I 2016.05.09 09:57:46 - Checking route
W 2016.05.09 09:58:47 - The operation has timed out
! 2016.05.09 09:58:47 - Disconnecting

This is where it gets stuck .... I will try emailing them...

I need the whole log to find out what happened just seeing where it went wrong doesn't always help I need to see the whole process of what happened to see what went wrong as a whole.

keep in mind if you had network lock enabled it changes the firewall settings too.
