is an open-source, zero-configuration VPN manager. It supports automatic setup and allows easy switching between VPN providers.

 

AirVPN is supported, and this could be a great alternative to anyone who chooses to use this instead of Eddie,

for example in case your distribution is not officially supprted by it.

 

The developers always add new providers so it might soon become a very promising project.

 

 

 

Which VPN services are supported?

Curently we support "one click" import from the following providers:

• Mullvad (free trial or premium)
• HideIpVPN (free trial or premium)

In your first reply I quoted you really sounded like you've got good reasons to not install it. Legitimate question in second quote comes and you answer with you just not willing to install it. Rather weak reasoning, don't you think?

 

It's a promising project, especially for Raspberry users currently who need to connect via Terminal to AirVPN. Not sure about what the VPN providers are going to say, though.

I'm more excited about being able to keep in one place the configurations to connect to AirVPN and to my own VPN server. It's a pity there is no version for Mac.

Just wait. With increasing popularity the probability of it being ported to Windows and Mac will increase as well.

Network Lock is a feature of Air's client. I doubt Fruho can do that.

anybody using Fruho?  I had it working on Mint, somewhat.  It's buggy with importing ovpn configs.  Something happened and now it won't start anymore.  I've uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled.  Still, won't even start up.  Some kind of error during install but it doesn't say what it is.  I've searched the web but find nothing.

The Raspberry Pi cannot run Fruho (as of April 2016).

Oh, wait, reasons, using words:

fruho-0.0.26  does run on Debian 11.
AirVPN is supported according to the settings tab.
Mullvad is no longer supported.
Several other VPN's are supported, and you can import .ovpn & .conf files.
Nifty, simple little VPN client with gui for some VPN's, but not too many.
Runs on fewer machines and OS's.
I prefer eddie-ui and mullvad for gui VPN clients, but fruho is fine for simpler setups.
Fruho **might** work on the latest Raspberry Pi 4's with 8 Gigs and the latest OS.
