Can you try a TAP driver downgrade? In Eddie, disable the automatic driver upgrade in the settings. Go to the OpenVPN software update release page and download TAP 9.9.2_3.exe. Uninstall your old driver and reboot. Install 9.9, launch Eddie and try to connect to any server. Paste logs again if it fails.

It gives me a message on start up in the system tray, that OpenVPN driver is missing, this does not apply when im using the latest version.

Im using avast, it should not block it in anyway, ive had it working for 3 months straight, also its allowed in the Windows Firewall. I tried looking in my task bar, i got no OpenVPN.exe running.

Besides our convasation im having an open ticket whit the support team. They had me trying to delete the AirVPN.xlm file.
This is my response to them:
"I now tried that, it dint work, so i tried to reinstall AirVPN. When i did that i noticed that som files stayed there, i manuel deleted them, but the OpenVPN.exe i could not delete as it told me that "OpenVPN deamon is running". Reinstalled got the new XLM, still dosent work. Its like the OpenVPN deamon is trapped in some kind of limbo."

I did a bit of searching here and on the internet, the best I could find is a thread in the OpenVPN forums suggesting two things:

  • Update the driver to a more recent one.
  • Check the write permissions to the OpenVPN directories.

Try a portable version of Eddie run from your desktop.

Okay, correct me if im dooing the wrong. I Downloaded the portable version (.zip) downloaded from this site, i ran it in the zip, that dint work. Then i extracted it to my desktop, that still dint work, getting the same msg "OpenVPN is allready running". Then i decided to uninstall AirVPN, reboot and then try the portable version agian, still the same.

Here is the log from my last attempt after the reboot.

On Windows? If so, I have experienced this problem and know how to fix it.

1) On your keyboard, type Ctrl + Shift + Esc. Task manager should open

2) On the top, click the processes tab

3) Scroll down until you see "OpenVPN Daemon"

4) Click it, and then on the bottom click "End Task"

5) Now you should be able to connect to AirVPN servers without this error
