Does Eddie leak DNS ?

Hello, recently i have started using AirVPN and one thing that i noticed is that in Wireshark monitoring my online connection, my data packets are encrypted as they should be but my DNS quieries are not. For example if i visit www.drudgereport.com i can filter my traffic and see that DNS request in my traffic. It seems to go to the right DNS server but my activity seems to be visible to my ISP and Network Administrators. See screenshot for example

What dns mode are you running in the client?

10.50.0.1 is the ip address of the tun/tap adapter.

Normally DNS queries are done from the dns nameserver 10.4.0.1 -> To -> 10.50.0.1

Some times other nameservers are used depending on your port/protocol selection.

 

So the issue is either wireshark's monitoring setup or the chosen dns mode isn't working on your system, try a different dns method.
