Servers all showing 0ms latency, very hard to connect to US server

Just in the last couple days or so latencies aren't being shown for servers, '0ms' is being shown.  Also I have to continually try to connect to US servers which is driving me nuts, Eddie keeps trying to re-connect with a  different server (country).

 

Might well be something I've done with settings as I've been trying for a couple months to get anything better than half of my download speed with AirVPN to no avail.

 

I'm not great at all with networking so explain as you would do a 6yo

 

I'm on Mac, El Capitain.

 

EDIT:  It's the Los Angeles servers I can't connect to.
