I'm glad that so far, at least publicly, Apple has stood firm on encryption and not allowing back doors.

That's goddamn ridiculous

Whats the point even, if they wanna stay hidden they will. Plenty of software you can use to encrypt end-to-end that isn't stock

Who do governments, especially the UK, employ as technical advisors for goodness sake. As has been intimated those that want/need to keep things secret will do so, no matter how the stupid government legislates. As usual they just love wasting time and public money on pointless tasks as long as they are aimed at keeping an eye on the masses.

Yeah it's crazy, one of my favorite passtimes is watching the CSI Cyber show and rip it apart with logic and how everything they do isn't even remotely legit or makes sense. They really should hire people that actually KNOWS their stuff, but then again they might not given to hire someone that knows what they need to know is a risk since they'd need someone like us who wouldn't wanna help them spy on us lol
