airvpnmember 0 Posted ... Good morning, I was wondering if someone can help me please? I have an SSH server running on Windows. The Windows server connects to a DDRT router which has OpenVPN and which connects to AirVPN servers. I have set up a forwarded port on AirVPN to forward connections to port 22 on my windows (I think thats how it works), and assigned a ddns to my connection. The SSH server is running and I can connect locally (using putty). When I try to connect remotely, however, using the ddns entry (xxxx.airdns.org) and the forwarded port, no connections are arriving on the windows server. Can anyone help me out please? Thank you. go558a83nk 362 Posted ... you must forward ports in the router since you are using the router as your openvpn client. https://airvpn.org/topic/9270-how-to-forward-ports-in-dd-wrt-tomato-with-iptables/ 1 airvpnmember reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
airvpnmember 0 Posted ... Hi go558a83nk, thank you for your reply. Just to confirm that I have understood this correctly -- the VPN forward connections on its forwarded port to port 22 on my router. So I have to tweak the IP tables on the router to forward the connection to port 22 on the Windows server? Thanks again. Quote Share this post Link to post

You have to make another rule on the router to fordward all connections to your tun0 interface and to port 22 go to your Windows machine's port 22. 1 airvpnmember reacted to this Quote Hide zhang888's signature Hide all signatures Occasional moderator, sometimes BOFH.
