OpenVPN fails to reconnect

Recommended Posts

Hello, first of all sorry for my bad English, it is not my mother tongue.

I run a server on UbuntuServer and connect it to an AirVPN server via OpenVPN. The connection itself is fine but every time connection drops (e.g. daily new ip, forced by provider) openVPN fails to reconnect.

I tried the executable as well as installing the package from the repository.

It is very annoying to reconnect the server at least once a day.
I tried google and searching AirVPNs forums for a solution but didn't find any, I also tried different servers but it didn't help.

OpenVPN just loops these lines

Thu Jul 23 06:05:55 2015 [UNDEF] Inactivity timeout (--ping-restart), restarting
Thu Jul 23 06:05:55 2015 SIGUSR1[soft,ping-restart] received, process restarting
Thu Jul 23 06:05:55 2015 Restart pause, 2 second(s)
Thu Jul 23 06:05:57 2015 Socket Buffers: R=[212992->131072] S=[212992->131072]
Thu Jul 23 06:05:57 2015 UDPv4 link local: [undef]
Thu Jul 23 06:05:57 2015 UDPv4 link remote: [AF_INET]213.152.161.24:443

Thanks in advance
