Different DNS Address in Ipleak.net

Hi,

 

I’m just curious as to why I am getting a different DNS Address detection (via ipleak.net) when connected to Tarazed, Netherlands. My IP is showing as 213.152.161.133 (Netherlands) but the DNS Address is showing as 54.246.124.152 (Ireland – Dublin, Amazon Technologies – Airvpn DNS 2).

 

Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Just do a quick forum search for Amazon.

 

Those are the failover air dns servers. More info @ search.

Air should make something about this, like a small JS detection of the returned DNS IP address, and if the the DNS IP is Amazon's

one that belongs to Air, call a small jquery box/popup saying that it's ok, no need to worry or open a forum thread

I completely agree.

 

I think a bunch of the new NL servers are using the amazon dns 100% of the time. But I haven't tested them in a few days so who knows. If that's still the case its no wonder so many threads are popping up.

I've never seen this before in a few years of using Air but it's all I get now.

 

I can see it's an Air VPN DNS though so all good.

This is related to a still unresolved UDP issue with the 10 new NL servers from the past month.

I will hopefully have some time next week to submit iperf and tcpdump logs to nail the problem.

For sure it's some rate limit or a simple firewall rule at the DC's end.
