Android openvpn problem

Hi

 

I got myself a second android "tv-box" with kodi and all that.

 

Obviously I wanted to install openvpn on it, and it worked flawlessly on the first "tv-box". However with this new one, I get the message: " Problem creating TUN interface: Possibly the tun.ko kernel module is not loaded in your Android Kernel " "Error creating the tun interface: cannot acquire tun interface socket"

 

Tried restarting the device and reinstalling the openvpn app but nothing.

 

Running android 4.4.2

 

The first box was rooted when I bought it, but not this one. I'd rather not root this one because I really want the HBO-app to work on it, and they block rooted devices
