Hi,
This is my setup: I have a host machine running Win 8.1 x64 and a virtual machine inside vmware running win 7 x86. On my host machine I can connect without any problems but I'm having trouble when I want to connect from my virtual machine.

Off the top of my head are you using auto server port settings in the Eddie Client 2.8? if not, try that.

possibly unrelated but try diffrent DNS servers for your network adapter.
