Gollum 0 Posted ... Assuming my connection is secure, is it safe to use any server to use for torrents? Would DMCA/piracy or equivalent laws local to the servers be an issue, or does my secure VPN shield me from this problem? Looking for servers that will allow for use of public trackers. I understand that DHT and PEX is better, and I do use this method as much as possible if I can without hurting the progress of the download, but some torrents (especially older ones) can only be completed with the use of public trackers as it currently stands. So for example, using any of the German or Swedish servers would be okay? Thanks. Quote Share this post Link to post

Yes, I have tried several U.S. servers and they are blocked on public trackers. The Canadian ones are not. So they are your best bet. Quote Share this post Link to post
