So I have the AirVPN client on Ubuntu. I've been reading the posts on the forums but no post about leaks and AirVPN client by itself.  Is this good enough to prevent leaks on linux or do I need to follow those other guides to prevent leaks?

 

Does the AirVPN client modify IPTABLES? Is that still necessary?

I think it should be fine because it modifies the IPTABLES but I would also like someone with more knowledge on this to clarify it.

Last time I tested the client it never leaked. Rabbit is correct, It mods the iptables as well as the resolv.conf. Err well it did on the distro I tested it on.

DNS leaks are a Windows-only issue. Linux (and Mac/BSD/Unix) use exactly whichever DNS you tell them to and no other. As above, Eddie also sets resolv.conf so you have nothing to worry about. Feel free to test, however.
