Is it possible for a router to connect to AirVPN service?

You need a router which supports the OpenVPN client. Routers where you can flash DD-WRT,  Tomato and Merlin firmwares can support OpenVPN.  If you don't have a compatible router, don't worry, you can as usual connect with any computer or device which runs Linux, Windows, Android or MacOSX.
