ANSWERED Routing outside VPN with OpenVPN

Hi!

 

Using Eddie client I can configure in the "Route" tab some ips to go outside the VPN tunnel.

 

How can I do the same with the OpenVPN configuration file I download from the airvpn generator? I'm really new to this so don't know if possible, but i need some traffic to go outside the tunnel.

No, you can't accomplish this through the building of an OVPN files. You will need to know how to set up your own firewall rules to do this without Eddie.

Look at the "route" command in the OpenVPN manual:

Once there find "--route " on the page.

 

So a line like "route ww,xx.yy.zz 255.255.255.255 net_gateway" for each IP.
