  1. I am having trouble connecting a friend who uses BT Broadband, to any AirVPN server. We are using an unlocked BT Openreach HG612 modem and a Linksys E4200 Router with Toastmans Tomato firmware. The broadband connection is ADSL2. Prior to attempting to set up OpenVPN on the router, we initially couldnt get any connection to BT Broadband using this modem/router combination. On doing some research I found info about how the modem needed to be configured for BT Broadband ADSL, as in its locked state it is only set up for VDSL. On completing the configuration, we were then able to access the internet. I have to admit that I didnt really understand what the configuration was doing, but it obviously worked, as we had internet access. The configuration does involve more than just enabling ADSL2 on the modem. We then attempted to set up an OpenVPN Client connection to AirVPN, but havnt had any luck. I initially tried UDP port 443, which didnt work, then UDP port 53, TCP port 53 & TCP port 443, all of which also didnt work. I am wondering if the configs that were carried out to get the non-VPN connection to function, are the reason for the lack of connection via OpenVPN. I have attached screenshots showing the configs that were carried out on the modem, which may point to the issue we are having. As background, I was using the E4200 myself, on my own broadband connection (Plusnet) without any issues with connection to AirVPN. The one difference (apart from ISP) would be that I have a fibre FTTC connection rather than the ADSL connection, so didnt need to carry out the above mentioned configurations to the modem, although I did unlock the modem. As I say, we are using the same E4200 router, which was functioning on my connection, however the modem, although identical to my own HG612, is a different unit. It is however working fine when not attempting to connect to AirVPN. Using Eddie on a PC, allows us to connect to an AirVPN server without any issues, so I am guessing that my initial hunch of it being a BT Broadband issue would be wrong. Thanks to anyone that can point me in the right direction.
