I think OpenVPN optimization largely boils down to tailoring MTU sizes to your setup so that they perfectly match your use case. But if you experience packet loss, something is not right at all with your connection. Can you provide logs, or in case of Eddie a support file (Logs > lifebelt icon), of a connection which suffers from packet loss as you describe, please?
