OpenVPN with iOS/iPadOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod) - version 13 or later

Install OpenVPN Connect from Apple Store, the official, free OpenVPN client for iOS
developed by OpenVPN Technologies, Inc.

Launch the installed app to check if it works. Select OpenVPN Profile to prepare the app for use with AirVPN

You might need to agree the terms of use if it's the first time the app is opened. Click on Agree.

OpenVPN Connect shows the options to import a profile in the app. In this guide, e-mail method will be used.

Please note: in iOS 13 it's no more possible to download a file with Safari and import it into OpenVPN at the same time.

You will need to download the ovpn profile (.opvn file) from a computer attach it to an e-mail and send the e-mail to an address that you can access from your iOS Mail app

From a computer Launch your preferred browser, connect to AirVPN website and login.

Go to Config Generator in Client Area, choose iOS and other options.

Click Generate to generate and download the .ovpn profile file.

Send .ovpn files to an e-mail which is accessible from the iOS device in use.

Open the e-mail from the iOS device.

Look for the attachments and tap on Tap to Download to download .ovpn file

Now the file is downloaded into e-mail iOS app.

Tap on .ovpn file

Tap on Copy to OpenVPN.

OpenVPN Connect will prompt you to import your configuration file. Tap on ADD to proceed.

You can change the configuration file name if you need. Then tap on ADD to add it to the OpenVPN Connect app.

confirm to add VPN configuration changes by tapping on Allow.

Confirm VPN Configuration apply by using your security method set on your iOS device.

Configuration file is ready for use.

Tap on the gray slider to start the connection. Tap Yes to confirm.

You should now be connected to AirVPN with your .ovpn profile.
