Is AirVPN secure if I still access hotmail/google account or flash websites ?

Hi I have been reading a few reports around the web in regards to how safe VPNs are in general,  there is much talk suggesting your only as safe as to what you are browsing and doing online.

 

Many suggested for example,  if I am logged into a google account or hotmail account,  that if I am connected to an VPN and secure,  I can still then be tracked or found simply since I logged into hotmail ?   Others suggested even a website with a flash video would track your real IP which under an VPN!

 

Is it therefore better to be more extreme and not log into google/hotmail accounts and even disable java/flash ?

Well there are loads of factors other than your ip that can give away your identity google/hotmail like your emails, phone number(for verification), your friends on google+, alternate email ids..etc. So if you need to switch to a anonymous email services provider(like tormail) if you need to hide your identity so bad. I don't think flash can detect your real ip, but they do give you unique cookies which might give you away.

But your link is good,  and has a nice fingerprint test.  I think like most folk are now doing running browsers with lots of extensions/add-ons that help with security and avoiding commercial websites like Hotmail, Google, Facebook ie the ones where big brother is watching you.  It is far better as you suggested to use tormail or other email providers that use better security.
