Can i use my normal internet connection on a separate guest account?

Hi,

I'm happy with the added security however my connection is noticeably slower.. Fine for browsing but rather slow for watching youtube videos in 1080p or playing games on steam. I created a guest account to access my 'normal' connection with my ISP DNS settings. Is it ok to do so? I will only use my vpn for utorrent..
