Force traffic over VPN

Hello,

Seeking some configurationa advice here. I have a Windows machine (Win 7) and I want to configure it so bittorrent application(s) can connect to the Internet only via the VPN (traffic blocked when the VPN connection drops). I know most Windows software firewalls have the capability to restrict traffic by application, but I wanted to post up to see if anyone has a specific recommended configuration or firewall for this task.
