Support privacy.sexy: Strengthen Open-Source Privacy Tools

Recommended Posts

Dear AirVPN Team,

The open-source project privacy.sexy (https://privacy.sexy/) perfectly aligns with your mission to defend online freedom and user anonymity. Developed by a dedicated independent creator (https://github.com/undergroundwires), it delivers a rich library of scripts that harden Windows, macOS, and Linux systems against privacy and security risks without requiring compiled code.

What makes this project exceptional is its practical simplicity. With a few generated commands, even non-technical users can protect themselves from vulnerabilities like Windows telemetry or DNS leaks caused by Smart Multi-Homed Name Resolution. It empowers everyday users to reclaim control over their data and reduce exposure to corporate tracking.

I had a personal exchange with the developer some years ago, and I can attest to his humility and strong community spirit. As a college student from India, I lack the means to contribute financially, but I believe his work deserves steadfast support from organizations like yours that champion privacy-focused innovation.

If possible, please consider providing monthly financial assistance or any recurring support to strengthen this initiative’s reach and sustainability. A contributor like you could help ensure this project continues to undermine exploitative data collection practices from big tech.

Best regards,
Pushanjith Ravi

Nice project, definitely one I will remember. I skimmed the Linux commands and as a tech guy I find them a bit overeager at times – and at other times even downright unnecessary.
But this is where the presets come in. The choices there are quite good.

  • Standard is not too destructive and probably the recommendation for the "general netizen".
  • Strict includes overeager options for those who don't trust their computer too much.
  • All includes a few things I deem completely unnecessary. I think it's for people who don't even trust their wired keyboard – or their wife, or something.
Though, before you use All, maybe use Qubes OS or Tails instead. Probably a similar experience, but without the need for all the deleting. :)
