Android Auto / VPN

Recommended Posts

I didn't know this until just now, but Android Auto requires me to disconnect the VPN. I hate that, but ok.  I was looking to automate this so that when connecting to my car's bluetooth, it turns off the VPN. Fooled around a bit with Tasker and Macrodroid but it looks like it might be fairly difficult. Has anyone either found a workaround, or a different way to accomplish this?

Super annoying, isn't it?
I don't believe there's a way unless you want to start fiddling with split-tunnel etc which I am not sure it will even work or I am recommending it.
Use a USB cable to connect to the car rather than the wifi-direct
