mb12345 0 Posted ... I obviously prefer to have VPN always on but sometimes I have to turn it off for various things (i.e. Tickermaster.com) but then I forget to turn it back on. Adding an option to automatically reconnect 30 minutes after disconnect would be a very useful addition to the app. Thank you for taking the time to read this Quote Share this post Link to post

It can be accomplished with Tasker, I believe. Quote Hide Tech Jedi Alex's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. USE TICKETS FOR PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT. mb12345 0 Posted ... You don't have to be rude, it was just a suggestion. Just because no one else has requested it doesn't mean it wouldn't be useful to everyone if added. Also, it can no longer be accomplished with Tasker without opening the app and simulating touches. See my previous post about the intent that was removed https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/76779-bootvpnactivity-intent-removed/ Quote Share this post Link to post
Tech Jedi Alex 1551 Posted ... No, I'm simply saying it's an XY problem. I'm dryly stating that this is an odd feature that doesn't make much sense in a VPN app, and other VPN apps don't have this, too. Above all, it won't fire if the app is not running, making it resemble something like a reverse kill switch, and AirVPN devs don't like kill switches. I would reformulate the request from "implement a reminder/auto-connector on a schedule" to "introduce a way to programmatically fire events in the app". The latter is more useful to more people, and includes your feature by way of another app tailored to scheduling events. Since, because I remember that thread but not by whom it was opened, the actual catalyst for your request is the removal of said intent and you losing a way to automate things, shouldn't an interface for automation be what you actually want? Making it a classical XY problem. Quote Hide Tech Jedi Alex's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. USE TICKETS FOR PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT.
