Connection Timed Out 110

Recommended Posts

This afternoon I noticed there was an update to Eddie 2.24.6 so I updated it.  Now Qbittorrent will not establish any connections and the connection icon remains red instead of immediately turning green like it has for years.  This morning before updating Eddie it worked fine. I changed no settings in Eddie or QB.  The rest of the internet works, I can browse OK, it simply no longer works with QB after I updated Eddie.

OK I have some more info on this.  For years my VPN connection was simply named "Local Area Connection 3" and that's what I had QB bound to.  Now, after the Eddie update "Local Area Connection 3" no longer exists and is now simply called "Eddie".  However; "Eddie" is not located in QB as an option to bind the network interface to.  It still shows "Local Area Connection 3" but that's apparently now just a dead connection.  In the meantime I have it bound to the VPN IP address I'm currently connected to and that works but I will have to change it every time I change locations instead of it being bound to the VPN connection regardless of the IP address.

You can see in the attachments that Local Area Connection 3 is still an option in QB even though it no longer directs to the VPN and Eddie is not an option.  Inside Eddie itself under VPN Interface it no longer says Local Area Connection 3 it now simply says Eddie.  How do I get Eddie to show up again as a bindable option in QB the way it worked for years?

I also notice that the VPN type is now using WireGuard.  I'm pretty sure it was using OpenVPN before the update. Could this have something to do with it?

Looking further, all of my protocols are set to use OpenVPN so I have no idea why it's using WireGuard as the VPN type.  I've unchecked "Automatic" and gone through the entire list of available protocols and they are all OpenVPN.  None of them are WireGuard despite WireGuard being what is being used.  It's using WireGuard/UDP/Port 1637.  This is not even an option for me under protocols.  I have done what other posts said to try and reinstalled Eddie because they said WireGuard is supposed to come installed with Eddie but there are still no WireGuard options under Protocols despite WireGuard being used.

I'm hesitant to choose another protocol because with no WireGuard options showing I don't know if I could get it back.

So long story short. I just want to be able to choose the VPN in QB so I can bind it as a network interface and not a specific IP but it's no longer showing up.  What do I need to do?
