Sladis 0 Posted ... (edited) I live in Russia and can't pay by any other methods. I refuse to use Telegram Wallet (it's unsafe), others require auth in some form (ID, driver license...), but I want my data to be somewhat secured. So can anyone here suggest some good (mainly safe and trusted enough) option that works in Russia? I would be very grateful. I know it's huge off-topic, but I hope someone here will answer anyway. Any help is appreciated. Edited ... by Sladis Quote Share this post Link to post
Sladis 0 Posted ... (edited) I researched this topic again. Well... In 2026 bitcoin will be more illegal than ever in Russia. So I'm afraid I need to get Mastercard/Visa with working SWIFT system for it to work. What about bitcoin - yeah, some of them support russian payment system (e.g. SBP), but you need to pass verification with your ID and stuff like that. Any popular bitcoin p2p market is relatively safe I suppose, just make sure they support RUB as currency and some form of russian payment system. VPN is already semi-legal in my country, soon will be illegal I suppose, so it sucks. Really. Anyone who reads it - good luck? This country sucks. There're services which offer to make you Visa/Mastercard for about 10k-20k rub, so it's still possible. If you have some kind of friends or relatives abroad - then ask them to pay for something you need. I don't know how you will send their money back, but it's possible. Undies 0 Posted ... Look into XMR. It's privacy focussed by design. Much more private than Bitcoin. Even if you purchase your Bitcoin with your ID and transfer them to your Monero wallet, purchasing from there would use a one-time-use stealth address and is vastly more private. Thank you! I may register and verify a bitcoin wallet and buy this VPN with XMR. But now I already have bought another VPN and don't want to waste money... I just hope popular bitcoin websites will be available in Russia even in 2026, when some nasty laws will take place. As an alternative I can buy cheap VPS and install any VPN solution (VLESS/Amnezia/...) Well, it works, too, I suppose? Edited ... by Sladis Quote Share this post Link to post
SaintGeorge22 0 Posted ... (edited) I was in a similar spot last year, trying to keep my payments private in Russia without giving out too much personal info. I ended up finding a service that worked quietly for crypto stuff, and while testing a few tips, I stumbled on VIP crypto signals. Their team’s been around since 2017, and they really know the market. It helped me make safer moves without exposing my data too much. Edited ... by SaintGeorge22 Quote Share this post Link to post

Still, I can't find any legit method to pay with crypto in Russia. Without passport and stuff. I've already bought another VPN, which is more available in Russia (for example, you can buy it with "SBP"). It sucks I can't buy this VPN, because it's one of the sort that allows opening ports and doing stuff with torrents. I wanted to be a part of private torrent trackers and seed various stuff, but... yep. I'm not allowed to do torrenting using my own VPN. Sadly, crypto isn't great as it used to be, when it was niche payment method. So I hope an alternative will arise eventually. Quote Share this post Link to post
