Help with routing tables

I need a pretty simple step-by-step for setting up a policy based routing for my 2 PS3's in my house. It seems going through the VPN throws off the connection to the network. Currently all IP's are routed through the VPN tunnel. I want to route the PS3's outside of that. I don't know how to set this up though. Should the PS3's be setup to use a static address? What are the settings in DDWRT? I know nothing about routing so my router setup is whatever the tutorials tell you. DHCP routing for everything I guess.

My setup is modem>X86 DDWRT>Linksys E2000 with DDWRT setup as AP only. Basically all my routing and what not is handled by the X86 router.
