Some Exit-IPs are marked as "Anonymous Proxies" in multiple sites / GeoIP db's

Recommended Posts

Hello, recently I encountered an issue, where some sites with Anti-Fraud checks mark me as a potential fraudulent sign-up or a spam source,

After a short check it indeed appears that some databases classify the Exit IPs as proxies.

Example:

http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/46.19.137.116

Or :

http://www.dnsleaktest.com

Hello 46.19.137.116

in Anonymous Proxy

This is not good, can you consider switching IPs from time to time?

Thanks.

I have noticed that on one or two also, I can't remember which.

I happened to notice the other day, on ip-check.info, whilst connected to one of the Swedish servers my net provider was listed as AirVPN

Hi!

Well, you might not like it, but that's basically the other side of the coin. Obviously people using a service like this can't be tracked as easily, so some websites might not like that.

But what exactly is the problem with that?

So far I've not had any issues because of that. Or maybe once, when paypal blocked me from logging in, but that could have been something else, don't remember exactly.

Think it's hard for Airvpn to change the ips of the servers all the time, since they rent the server from the datacenters with fixed IPs as far as I know.

It would be nice of course and it should be technically possible.

On the other hand, websites need a way to protect themselves as well and if there are a lot of people with the intention of commiting fraud while using a VPN...then I can't blame them for blocking those ips.
