ANSWERED New subscriber to AirVPN, did I set up everything correctly? (On my last strike with my ISP)

I download torrent.. a lot, and while I did use VPNs in the past it was only for short term or trials.

I've been able to get away with it w/o VPN unprotected for years by being careful as soon as the download is finished I make sure to remove the torrent immediately from the torrent client (avoid seeding basically) But sometimes I forget for hours and that's when I get in trouble with my ISP and they do basic routine of temporarily disabling our service until I call them and they lecture me and all that. I even started using qBittorrent more recently which has a function to stop or remove torrents once they're finished downloading with the following settings below:

I'm aware that as soon as I start a torrent I'm already exposed however by the doing the usual routine above (except for forgetting I had an active torrent seeding for hours) I've mostly been able to avoid getting ISP e-mails. I've been playing it safe until a few days ago I downloaded a recently released popular "media" and while the entire download only lasted less than 10 mins and I removed the torrent immediately after it was done - which is my normal routine. A few hours later our internet service was interrupted and of course it was yet another strike with my ISP. This time though my account is at the 5th or 6th strike and the next one will result in termination of the account service. I know it was really stupid to sail the risky high seas unprotected. What annoys me is that most VPN providers want to lock you in for several years by billing you around $100 upfront I don't understand why they won't just let you subscribe on a monthly basis for the same discount they offer for years - I guess the huge upfront bill always deters me from signing up otherwise I would have a VPN since day one.

Oh well, here I am now starting with a 3 month plan with AirVPN and if it works for me I'll get a longer plan. I wanted a VPN with port forwarding for I guess improve download speeds? Not sure if that actually makes a difference. So I chose AirVPN this time because when I tried ProtonVPN for a month - for some weird reason got me strike with my ISP all while I was connected the entire time during the offending incident. Their CS response was I should've have enabled their kill switch and others have already told me it's cause I didn't bind my VPN to my torrent client. I guess leaks do happen since it just did for me while being connected to a VPN. Overall I guess that was careless of me but in my defense I was unaware and just recently learned about binding.

Back to my main topic: Did I set everything up correctly?

On the Eddie program I connect to one of the Los Angeles servers since I'm assuming the lowest latency the better.

1. I binded the VPN:

2. After reading several threads about port forwarding I managed to end up on the client page on the site and I searched for a free open port and added that:

3. I input that same port number in qBittorrent:

4. I went to this site to test:

5. I noticed these other settings under the client page, does this apply to me, do I need to set them up?

6. Another reason I didn't get ProtonVPN is the port forwarding keeps changing and I have to constantly update it manually to match under listening port of qBittorrent. I read that is not the case with AirVPN and it auto switches the port forwarding number automatically? How does that work? Also does switching and connecting to other servers change anything with port forwarding?

I tried to download a torrent with AirVPN disabled and it seem to be working since it won't start any download unless I enable the VPN? Am I completely safe from my ISP now? Thank in advance!

It's like a drama movie in text form, the way you describe your suffering :D I like it. (The text, not the suffering. I'm not sadistic..)

You bound qB to Eddie, so you are safe from leaks. But are you safe from Windows? As you're using Eddie, it is strongly recommended to enable and use Network Lock so that even if Windows betrays you and qB is one day no longer bound to the interface once known as Eddie, qB won't leak.

Irrelevant to your use case.

It doesn't. If 58025 is forwarded, that port is reserved for you on all servers. UPnP is not supported. And also dangerous because it's sent to your local network, too, and that may cause your router to open that port as well. Disable it in qB.
Also set Peer connection protocol to TCP only. uTP is not UDP. Do not mix those up; uTP is detrimental to BitTorrent via VPN.
