Me You 0 Posted ... (edited) I'm planning on using the portable version of the Eddie client, and I've read that the latest version uses WireGuard by default. However, I'm assuming that the portable version doesn't automatically install WireGuard and OpenVPN as dependencies. Can someone confirm this? If that's the case, I'd like to know how to manually install them on my system. Installing WireGuard seems straightforward, as I can simply download and run the MSI installer. However, I'm in need of more clarity about OpenVPN - should I install the full OpenVPN installer, or can I get away with just installing the standalone TAP adapter? Any guidance on this would be appreciated. Edited ... by Me You Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1474 Posted ... It would be some ironic turn of words if a portable software needed something manually installed on the OS first. Both OpenVPN and Wireguard are bundled with a portable Eddie release, and Eddie installs a network adapter as needed as it's the minimum requirement for tunneling.
