Packetloss

I'm getting considerable packet loss.  I've set up OpenVPN client on a pfsense/netgate appliance, and pushed 2 of my LAN machines out the VPN connection.

It works, but the packet loss is pretty high.  I've tried switching encryption ciphers, trying TCP instead of UDP, and tried 2-3 local (to me) servers, but it still is pretty bad (10-50% loss, all over the place).

Any tips on what I can do to resolve hits?
