Control UI with CLI?

I've been playing with the Eddie CLI and UI. I would like to have the UI running so I can see the VPN state but I'd also like to change the state (e.g. connect to a particular server, disconnect) from the command line. Is there any way for the CLI to control the UI?

I was trying to find one but it _looks_ like they are separate processes that spin up their own elevated processes.
