Diablo 3 over VPN

Hi there

I want to play Diablo 3 which requires ports

80: HTTP

1119: Game client; Patch version queries by the Launcher

6881-6999: Launcher; Downloading

Could someone point me in the right direction as to tunnel all this traffic through the VPN ?

I've played it just yesterday over the VPN - no configuration needed whatsoever.

Have you had trouble?

well Im trying to install the digital version of the game, but the setup fails so I was wondering if any configuration was needed, I'm just using the AIRvpn.exe to lunch the vpn and then running the diablo3 set up but it fails to connect to there servers.

Oh okay. I haven't tried installig it, I just launched it. If I remember correctly, it did update the game to the newest version through the updater however.

But honestly, there should be nothing wrong with your setup. Nothing is blocking it from getting access to blizzards servers.

Unless...

Have you allowed the updater through your software firewall? If you haven't checked and don't know, it seems very likely to be the cause.
