Terry Stanford 11 Posted ... I am thinking of coming back to AirVPN. I used to be on Mac. Now on Fedora 40 Gnome. I am no linux geek! 1. I downoaded Eddie using the .rpm installer, now I do'nt know how to uninstall it as it doesn't show up in 'Software' center. Can someone please advise how to uninstall. 2. I have Wireguard available in Network Manager which means I think I don't need Eddie. Is that the case? Can I download Wireguard configs to set up a variety of locations/server connections in Fedora network manager so I don't need the app? PS I also use Android for Wireguard connections, can I set WG connections up on my phone too? thanks Quote Share this post Link to post
Air4141841 25 Posted ... 1. I haven't use fedora for years. but it show show up on the application center of the OS. you can remove it from there if you choose to do so.. which I would not 2. you can use the standard wireguard client. but you will lose functionality quite a bit. 3. same thing, you can manually download wireguard, but it will be more steps to setup instead of just logging into Eddie and the software already have everything configured. Terry Stanford 11 Posted ... Thanks. 1. No, it doesn't show up. It's installed, I can find the program to run it, but it's not in Software anywhere. 2. & 3. - I am using Gnome environment, eddie doesn't show up in the sorry excuse for a system tray given in Gnome! I am now used to using the built in Wireguard manager so would prefer that. I assume I can just download some configs and set those up? Curious to know what functionality I would gain by using Eddie though just to consider that. thanks again Quote Share this post Link to post
Air4141841 25 Posted ... I think the software center only shows certain programs you can downloaded. since you side loaded it it will show up else where. I would login and you will see the custom options on servers to connect to/ protocols etc. I don't use Eddie since I use a router, but I am familiar enough from reading the forums here for wireguard app. login to your airvpn account go to client > config generator > check wireguard and your options. then import them into the app. then you just login with your airvpn account. 1 Terry Stanford reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
