how do i delete my account?

Recommended Posts

as my name suggests, this was just a test account i made so i could see which specific payment options are accepted. i will buy a plan soon but with a better username than this one (lol)

i could just ditch the credentials but i'd hate to have my account take up even the few KiB on AirVPN's servers if it's unnecessary.

do i need admin intervention for that or am i missing something? i looked through the settings to no avail.

thanks, and this certainly isn't goodbye from me <3

You can change the display name of your account after you're out of the new user queue. Engage in a small conversation in this topic (I don't know, ask some questions or something) and you'll know when you're out of it. :D Then head to the settings and change the Display Name at the top. After the change you can login with your new display name.

Your legitimate account is nothing compared to the hundreds of spam accounts created daily. :) Don't worry about it.

i feel like i've seen your username around! maybe on you tube comments or linux forums or something. i live and breathe FLOSS (not the dentistry kind lols) so it's possible! i don't usually make accouts for stuff and am more of the "watch from the sidelines" type

i like that profile pic of yours! lmao. i'm printing that out for my locker

did you know if you strap a piece of buttred toast to a cat's back it creates an antigravity pet? ;)

i love these phpbb smilies. far better than the emoji flat-design junk today on stuff. give me ALIASED BITMAPS please? wish i could write that in aliased wordart. i like pixels i can see. take me back to the 20th century plz

(tried my best at small talk lol, hope it was ok)

Probably a cognitive bias. This username is only active in these forums, but has been active for 11+ years. :) You'll find it in maybe 60, 70% of topics since I tend to be the first responder to new threads.

They remind me of one of the emoji styles shipped with ICQ 6+, Kolobok.

oops, lol... i've found cognitive bias to be the case in a lot of things for me, so either that was it or i saw your username in some other threads from awhile ago and forgot that's where i saw it

thanks for the sauce! hey, since you seem to like FLOSS stuff too, might i suggest redlib instead? it's a FLOSS alternative frontend for r*ddit. Farside has instances of it that people self-host and provide to the public (look for "libreddit" and "redlib" in that list) plus a tonne more FLOSS alt frontends. Invidious or bust!

I recently shifted from using those alternative frontends altogether to using the actual websites in isolated web environments using helpers like webapp-manager or python-silos. There are many attempts to create these alternative frontends: Invidious for YouTube, Nitter for Twitter, Bibliogram for Instagram. But guess what? They're all defunct at this point. I wasn't an avid user of either Twitter or Instagram, so Nitter/Bibliogram blocks didn't affect me at all, but I do use YouTube. And public instances of Invidious are pretty much broken at this point. I am annoyed at constantly needing to find an instance that has DASH enabled for 1080p+, is not bottlenecked because of many people trying to watch 4K (since DASH is enabled), is not running outdated Invidious versions and is not restricted by YouTube.
That is why I will use neither redlib nor libreddit. It will simply disappear at some point, and I don't want to again find instances that work once my go-to instance is dead. The actual Old Reddit with RES, isolated in a separate web browser profile, is what will always work, so I use that.
To be clear, we are not talking about the federated versions of these like PeerTube, Mastodon, Picroma and Lemmy.

Nothing like it. Protocol was OSCAR from AOL.
