On Black Friday 2023 (November 24, 2023) my BFF bought a one-year subscription which will expire on November 23, 2024.

However, this year's Black Friday is on November 29, 2024.

What do AirVPN staff suggest that she does during the five days from November 24 to 28, 2024?

I honestly don't understand the question. We're in the middle of the Halloween 2024 deal at this very moment.As written in that post:

I'm really not sure if I somehow use English in a way it is not understood (as English is even my third language), but.. I even quoted the relevant part of the announcement which was not written by me, so I think that's not it.. anyway.

Let me rephrase: The days you purchase will be added to your remaining days. With an expiration date of Nov 23, which is 25 days from now, purchasing a year = 365 days will result in the account having 390 days left.
I can even add a technical tidbit that an expiring subscription does not forcefully disconnect you from the servers: There is a grace period of a few days where the infrastructure lets you continue using existing VPN connections. Which is why time of purchase or even the time zone is irrelevant.
This gets even more irrelevant if you know that all times across the website are displayed according to your browser's localization settings (which is the default, anyway; change in Preferences).
