Eddie used for qBittorrent, normal ISP used for other stuff

Hi all, got a windows 11 box with Sonarr/Radarr and installed the Eddie client recently.

Turned on Network lock on qBittorrent so that is should only use the "Eddie" network profile.

But it looks like all my traffic is going out the VPN and I don't really need that.  Is it as simple as moving Eddie to the bottom of the interface metric order in Windows?  Then Windows would use the normal ethernet, and qBittorrent would be locked to Eddie?

Open the Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings.
Right click the connection whose priority you wish to modify then click Properties.
Scroll down and click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then click Properties.
In the bottom of the properties window, click Advanced.
On the bottom of the Advanced Settings window, uncheck the box next to Automatic Metric.
In the Interface Metric text box, enter the priority number for this connection.
Note: The lower the number, the higher the priority the connection

Edited for a working solution, do not download the eddie client as of 7/11/2024 and to this instead: This is the way to do it
https://www.ntkernel.com/advanced-bittorrent-split-tunneling-with-wiresock/

Download Wiresock VPN
Download WiresockUI from Github
Have qbittorrent installed
Use AirVPN's client area to grab a Wireguard config file or two
Install Wiresock VPN
Extract WiresockUI to a folder
Open wiresockUI
Import the wireguard config file into the UI and edit the config within WiresockUI.    Make sure to name it something short!
Add:   AllowedApps = qbittorrent   --Save it
Activate the tunnel in WiresockUI
Open qbittorrent, go to options->>advanced and on the "network interface" section lock it to your named WiresockUI tunnel that is currently active.

For testing go to ipleak.net and you can download a torrent file that will tell you your torrenting IP addy

OpenVPN soft-overrides the default gateway by default, so it's not that simple. Refer to https://github.com/tool-maker/VPN_just_for_torrents/wiki/Guide-to-Setting-Up-VPN-Just-for-Torrenting-on-Windows.

OP, suggestion:
Between
Open WireSockUI and
Import the WG config (...), add go to Settings and tick Virtual Network Adaptor mode or something, if not some of the other options.. and Save - else there won't be any network interface to select in i.e. qBT :)

Thanks for the solution/guide, helped tremendously getting started!

(p.s.: default WireSockUI settings are just the update check and state-change notifications, at least at the time of writing)
