It would be great to see this become an universal WireGuard "extension" or kind of overlay. As far as I understand, there’s no full open source implementation though. Could AirVPN coop with Mullvad to define a proper standard and implantations? I could only dream.

As far as I can tell it's simply decoy traffic which windscribe has also been experimenting with for a while now.

It also sends all packets padded up to MTU size. From outside, it’s harder to guess what is transported by looking at packet size. Also way harder to correlate tunneled traffic with clearnet traffic flows.

ohh interesting... that sounds like a lot of fun! and definitely a good tool to have 😅
