Is there a way not to use the VPN connection while being connected / Mac OS X

Hey there

I'm on Mac OS X 10.8, Firefox.

My problem is a bit complicated: I'd like to be connected to the VPN while I'm surfing the net and working... but I'm on a private member site which doesn't allow VPN and/or proxy connections to their site. Is there a way to configure OS X that it won't use the VPN connection for this specific site / IP address and use the "local" connection through my ISP?
