Throttled by Sky ISP

Hi Folks,
Wondering if I can get some help here.
When I first started using this VPN, a few weeks ago now, I would get my usual dl speed of about 5MB/s when using my torrent client, but after a week or so, it would seem that my ISP is throttling me down to 500mbits/s.
Can you suggest a way around this, different settings I might use?
