Not sure if this belongs here or in troubleshooting but I am putting it here as I am hoping to get more of an understanding of what's going on then looking to try and "fix" anything. On my home network I have a pi-hole running unbound to be a recursive DNS for devices on the network that do not use AirVPN (ie work laptops, IoT devices, etc). What I am trying to understand is why I get DNS Leaks in my browser when using AirVPN through wireguard? When using AirVPN I do not have it pointed at the pi-hole in anyway. Does this negatively affect any of the benefits of using a VPN? I am pretty sure none of my traffic is being routed to the pi-hole when AirVPN is on (although I am not proficient on how exactly to test this, other then testing what my IP is when torrenting). I can, if needed, also prevent these leaks in multiple ways such as turning DoH on in the browser or just stopping the unbound service on pi-hole. Quote Share this post Link to post
