Unable to connect to Plex Servers

Recommended Posts

Hi AriVPN,

I'm not at home. To my surprise. Trying to connect to my Plex server located at my home is not possible.

Also is not possible to connect to my remote server as well.

At first, I thought Plex had blocked access due to the whole length of movies that they are offering to stream.

But that is not the case. Is only inaccessible on my servers.

I'm using Yildun(Miami)

Is there anyone else having this issue?

Please, let me know.

Thanks.

Did you check at some point whether they can be reached via VPN at all before going on vacation? Chances are it never worked before and you botched the config. :)

Thanks for replying.

It was working the last time I checked.

I rarely use AirVPN to connect to Plex.

It's the same configuration I've been using for years. My preferred server is Pollux (Jacksonville) which is currently down.

I've changed to Yildun (Miami) and it's not working.

But I've something else to report this morning. I've randomly changed some servers.

Chameleon (Dallas) still works with the same configuration

Btw I'm already home. I've tested this with pfSense 2.6.

Using the same configuration. Only changing servers. Different results.

Okay, so it worked via VPN before. Some servers work, some don't. Looks like blocking from Plex' side, but not entirely sure.
Maybe someone else can test with their instance.

Just like to add that Plex isn't blocking access to movies/series they offer for free (with ads)

And for sure, at least two months ago Pollux (Jacksonville) worked just fine with Plex.
