Eddie cannot connect via Proxy on Linux

Hello.

I have both Windows11 and Mint Linux 19.3 on my system (dual OS) and this issue only happens on Linux Mint 19.3. Also I am using the same version of Eddie in both OSs, which is 2.21.8 ... So I figured I should discuss this problem here instead of troubleshooting subforum.


Due to my geo-ban in my country, I can only connect to an OK speed VPN via using a Proxy (from the Proxy/Tor in the Eddie GUI Settings. Photo attached in attachments)



My proxy provider gives me two methods of authentication:
1- via username/password
2- And via IP WHTIELIST.

I can connect SUCCESSFULLY using the username/password in Windows 11.

However, in Linux mint, I CANNOT connect to VPN ,and this is the log I get:

After reading the log, I figured that there seems to be a proxy authentication problem. It is strange because I have entered both username and password correctly in the Eddie Proxy settings page.
So I tried switching my authentication method to IP WHITELIST from my proxy provider, AND set the authentication in my Eddie Proxy settings to (none) instead of (basic). When trying to connect to VPN, it gets stuck at the (Checking route IPv4) for minute, then disconnects. I have tried connecting to various servers and I get the same problem.

Let me kindly repeat that the same settings WORK flawlessly in Windows11 using the proxy username/password authentication method. The issue here is with Linux only.

I cannot connect to VPN in my linux due to this problem.

Extra info:     I can connect on both OSs via the SSH protocol, which gives me ~15 % of my real speed unfortunately. So my only working option with acceptable speed is to be connected via a proxy using TCP protocol on Windows11 only, not linux.
