exclude windows application from VPN routing

Is there a way to exclude a windows application from routing over VPN, i know there is a destination based routes option in eddie but i want a application based solution, in other VPN apps its called split tunneling.
Is it possible to solve this with airvpn under windows as a normal user without big security risk?

the guide is for torrent only over vpn and i want to use the vpn for all except 2 apps
but these 2 apps don't have the option to bind to a connection

That wiki is for any program, but as you pointed out, the programs must be able to bind to interfaces.
